Regedit Permissions? Changes don't stay changed.

I have somehow lost the ability to edit the registry. Regedit.exe appears to
work normally, but if you edit a key, then move on to another key, the first
one reverts to its original setting.

I've checked permissions from within regedit, and I've tried as me
(administrator) and administrator.

Any clues what's wrong here?

Thanks,

Possibly you have third-party security running that prevents any changes
to the registry. Spybot, ZoneAlarm, etc. - you'll have to see what you
have installed.

Thanks Malke. I forgot them again: Spybot S&D , AD-Watch.

'Set them and forget them' sure doesn't work anymore.

Glad you figured it out. Thanks for taking the time to let me know.
