refund anyone?

R

Richard Urban

Your suppositions is wrong.

If people tried to get a refund through Microsoft, and couldn't, there would
be a howling here. That "would" be a basis for a class action suit, and
Microsoft wouldn't dare go there.

Why can not people just believe that the vast majority of users are content,
if not entirely happy, with Vista?

I know this goes against the grain of the trolls who frequent these
newsgroups.

Has anyone actually returned Vista for a refund as per

Has anyone actually applied for and received a refund from Microsoft?

Microsoft North American Retail Product Refund Guidelines
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/productrefund/refund.asp

I'm a little leary of this procedure since is states:
"Microsoft will refund your purchase price subject to policy
guidelines and warranty and license agreement provisions."

Doesn't that say then, that the refund policy is actually dictated by,
among other things, the product EULA nad not this web page?

This same page contains the following links at the bottom for:
"Additional Information About Microsoft Warranties and License
Agreements"

[links as follows]
- Genuine Microsoft Software
- Microsoft North American Retail Software Warranty Procedures
- End-User License Agreement For Microsoft(R) Software for Use with
Microsoft Hardware Devices

It seems I should be able to follow these links for further
information regarding thier "policy guidelines, warranties & license
agreement provisions" Only one problem - all three of these links are
broken.

What's up with this?

Please post the source for these statistics.
With your past history, it is more likely you just made this up along
with the other false statements you regularly make here.

Hey Jupiter ..I believe it would be very hard to post a fake source that
states such false numbers....I understand that there are some (a small
amount) of frustrated consumers reinstalling Vista but that is due to
inexperience or they tried to install Vista or upgrade to Vista on a machine
that probably barely ran XP....I just had to throw my 3 cents in....

I am certain the statistics are fake.
But I was giving him an opportunity to cite the source because I would
like to see it if it exists.
Perhaps silence is all the admission we will get he made them up to
support his anti Vista agenda.

This guy did it. And I must say I'm very impressed with Dell after
reading this.
