I noticed that the past few days that when I boot up my computer my icons
appear and then all flash to white pieces of paper once then go back to
normal. I was wondering what was causing this.

Thanks,
KOOBAZI

Try clearing the thumbnail cache using these steps:

1. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.
2. Click My files only.
3. In the Files to delete list, click to select Thumbnails. (deselect all other options)
4.Click OK, and then click Delete files.

Thanks for the idea, I tried it out but no luck. But I did notice that its
only the "shortcuts" That flash at startup I dont know if this is normal or
not. Any more input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Again,

Umm.. In Windows XP you can up the the MaxCachedIcons limit, not sure if this can be done in Vista.
