Reformatting Vista after upgrading from XP.

I made the mistake of not doing a clean install when upgrading to Vista from
XP Pro and have been having problems. I want to reformat and have done it in
the past with XP but have not been able with Vista. Can you tell me where I
can get instructions and if I can expect any problems.

I think you have to install Vista twice:
Once in 30 days evaluation mode (no serial number, no activation)
Then re-install above itself (upgrade) with serial etc...

Assuming you have a full version and not an upgrade version of Vista, the
way to achieve what you are trying to do is to boot from the Vista, run the
setup routine and format the drive from setup, then continue with the
installation.

Hi Jim,

If you refer to my post 'Clean Install Windows Vista Using Upgrade Media' in
the newsgroup 'Windows Vista Installation and Setup', you will find detailed
instructions.
