Reformatting template?

I'm trying to reformat a bunch of church worship song lyric slides. They
were created by someone who was not computer literate so the formatting is
all messed up. I'm trying to reformat them to all the same layout, font,
font size, spacing, etc. but I'm having no luch figuring out how to do it
automatically using the Master Slide or the designs. And then when I
reformatted a file all by hand and copied it into a new presentation, all the
formatting was gone! But only with some of the files. HELP! I have 100's
of files to reformat!

I'm guessing that the text on each slide was just in freeform/regular text
boxes - and not using the 'placeholders'.

If the placeholders were used, and you change the slide master - the changes
would be visible if you reapplied the layout of each slide.

Your best bet is to copy and paste the text from each textbox into a
placeholder... then the slides will follow your chosen style/template
