reformating hard drives

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reformat a
hard drive without losing the information thats on the
drive. If so please give me a few instructions.

No. But you could backup the information to a CD writer, format, then
restore it. Or you could copy it to another drive or partition, and then
replace it when you're done formatting.

why dont you partition your hard drive and back up all
your dada in the partition and then format c:/ and when u
don install windows just copy back the file to C:/ and
erase the partation there is a very good program for that
partition magic will do the job if you are not too
advance
