reformating disk with 2k professional

I bought a used computer with windows 2k professional on
it. I am not sure if it is legit or not, but I want to
reformat the drive and reinstall windows 98 that came
with the compter originally. The problem is, I dont have
the windows 2k disk and it is set up in the NTFS (?) file
sytstem. I have the original win 98 s/u floppy and the
restore CD that came wiht the computer.

Can anyone help??

Try the restore disk and select the restore function that will format the drive. If that doesn't work, fdisk and format the drive
from the 98 boot floppy. Searching for fdisk and format will result in enough sites to detail that process. Then when all that is
set and done try booting from the restore disk again. If the restore disk is not the one belonging to that computer's model, it
won't let you use it after scanning the bios.
