reformat reinstall WIN2K???

Matthew

Over the past few weeks, I have had issues getting onto the Windows Update
sites....freezing. Microsoft's email based support was excellent, but after
exhaustive diagnostics failed to correct the problem. The support tech
suggested that my Win2k installation may be corrupt somehow. Using the
installation CD, I got onto the Recovery console but honestly did not know
the first thing to do to "repair" my existing installation. I then decided
to do a clean install, which it will not let me do without reformatting (it
must be THAT corrupt). Silly as it seems, I failed to format my C: drive in
Recovery Console by using the format C: command.
Any suggestions on how to do a reformat and clean install of Win2k using the
Recovery console? (or any other way for that matter). For the record, my
computer boots up fine and "seems" to run "OK".
All useful suggestions greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Matthew

when you run the cd to reinstall Windows it will give you the opportunity to
re-format the partition.
