Refilling Epson Printers?

O

Old Nick

I have posted a bit about this recently and was pointed to various
refilling and resetting facilities. These detail ways to refill and
reset the cartridges, including Epson.

However, I tried locally, and was told that not only do you need ink
and reset sysatems, but that Epson cartridges are filled and sealed in
such a way that they will leak out of the print head into the printer.
Two places told me the same story. I have shoved some ink into a used
cartridge, and ink came back out of the _top_.

So. I have a newish model (C61). IUt uses the T28 and T29 cartridges.
Has anyone successfully refilled this or similar models? I am getting
so many stories from people who have a vested interest (one sells
replacement cartridges and the otrher tried to sell me a Canon
printer!) that I need to hear from users.

Thanks for any practical advice.

We don't have a Cartridge World. I think we may have been through this
before.

However, I have several people, who are willing to make money out of
me, telling me different things.

I ask again.
" HAS ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY REFILLED THIS OR SIMILAR MODELS? "

Thank you.

The T28 and T29 cartridges, are easily re-fillable, the resetter for the
chips costs between $16 and $20 (US) dollars and comes with batteries
already installed. They are available where ever RELIABLE re-fill kits
are sold.

OK. Thanks. What's a reliable kit, and what's not? I have been told
that I can wreck my printer if I get this wrong. I have been told that
I need to use new Eplugs (whatever they are) in order to refill
properly. Nobody around here seems to want to sell the refills. They
just say it won't work. Thsi is even people from whom I have bought
refill kits for other printers.
