I posted this a few days ago and someone referred me to
this: http://aumha.org/a/shtdwnxp.htm

I didn't seem to find this problem on the website, so I'm
posting this again to see if anyone else has an idea.
Thanks in advance, and also thanks to the person who
responded before.

ORIGINAL POST:

I have always had this problem with my computer since I
bought it a year ago. I am getting an error message
sometimes when I shut down my computer.

The error reads as follows: Referenced memory
at "0x00000008". The memory could not be read.

It does not seem to affect my computer in any way, and I
simply acknowlege it, and the computer shuts down
nomally. Is there any way to do away with this error? It
only happens when I shut down, but not on every attempt.

Thanks in Advance

While listening to the voices in their head blather on endlessly about
inspecific gibberish, Me typed:

What is the name of the program in the title bar of this error? Usually in
my experience this kind of error means that 2 programs are conflicting with
each other. When did it start occuring? Can you reproduce it on a
consistent basis? What was the last tiem you ionstalled on your machine
before it started happening? Answering these questions will help you find
the cause. HTH & GL
