reference memory error

Dear all,

This is a problem i found in win2k "It is giving a
memory reference error at some address.the memory could
not be read".

I tried updating service packs and other patches. pls
provide me with a solution for this

You do give what you are doing when this error message shows up, is the error message the same as to area which could not be read etc. , because it sounds like a bad sector in the drive or bad memory module on the surface.
