Redirect profile folders

Now that I'm using Vista, I've redirected most of my 'special' folders.
Mostly so they're off of the system partition. I'd like to move my Outlook
2007 profile to the external drive. What's the easiset way to do this? Or
is it just as easy to use the backup tool to backup my pst file to the
external drive?
Thanks,

You can't move the mail profile because it is a registry construct, not a
file system object. If you've redirected your special folders, Outlook will
use the redirections and look in the redirected folders for its data files.
If you've rediected to the external drive, that's what Outlook will use.

You can do that, too, if you want, or simply keep your PST on the external
drive from the get-go. With Outlook closed, move your PST to wherever you'd
like it to be. Start Outlook. When it complains it can't find your
folders, browse to where you've put the PST, select it, and click OK.
Outlook will finish opening and will look just like it did.
