Red x's instead of pictures

this has happened to me before. i get red x's instead of
the picture. i know the fix is pretty simple but i do
not remember it. any help would be appreciated.

Tried flushing the browser's temp cache, including offline content?

right click ie. icon on desktop, go to properties,
advanced tab. Make sure "show pictures", under multimedia
is checked.
