Red X IE6 SP1 W2K SP4

I run W2K SP4 w/ IE6 SP1. Not sure how or when the problem started. When I open a webpage that contains an editor like OWA 2003 replying to an e-mail or creating a new e-mail message, the page loads fine, all the buttons show up, however the editor where you are supposed to type is blank and has a little white box with a red x in the top left corner. I also get the same thing when I use fckeditor http://www.fckeditor.net/ It has been driving me crazy for a few weeks now and I am stumped on what to do to fix it. Anyone have any ideas? I found a post in this site that sent me to some pages to test the functionality of java on my machine and everything tested ok. Not sure what is going on.

Use View Source to extract the code which is responsible for that Red-X.
You will probably find that it is ActiveX code which you don't have installed
or which is disabled (e.g. via Security settings).

You would probably have better success posting to a newsgroup which
specializes in the other product since people there would be more likely
to be familiar with the product combination. Responders here tend to
specialize in IE or IE + one OS only.

Good luck
