red flags & marking messages for follow up in Outlook 2002 & 2003

I have Outlook 2002 on one PC and Outlook 2003 on another. I am using
Exchange 2000. If I flag a message for follow-up on Outlook 2002 a red flag
is shown on both Outlook 2002 & 2003. However, it does not show in the "for
follow up" default search on Outlook 2003 until I right-click on the flag
and select "red flag". The red flag displayed then has a red background
instead of a white one. Are Outlook 2002's red flags not quite red enough
or do I have a local problem?

Steve.

Outlook 2002 doesn't support quick flags which are found in the search
folder. You can create a custom search folder that includes flags set by
others.

Diane,

Thanks for quick response.

Just seemed odd that after years of flagging messages "for follow up" that
they then did not appear in the default "for follow up" search folder in
Outlook 2003!
