Hi,

I use Outlook 2003. I use the flags (6 colors - red, blue, yellow,
green, orange, purple) to group some mails that I wont to follow up
together in my inbox.

My problem is that there are only 6 flags. I will be very happy to
be able to create many more (example: blue A1, blue A2, blue A3, red
A1, red A2, red A3, etc.). Is ti possible to do this? Can I create
new flags? If yes how?

If no, can I create a new field with categories such as A1 A2 A3 A4 A5
B1 B2 B3 B4 B5 C1 C2 Etc. Can I allocate one of these category to
each of my mails and then apply a sort on that column?

FYI the field category does this, but does not allow any sort on its
column.

Many thanks in advance for your help.

outlook 2003 does not support more than 6 colors. your only option is
categories.

Outlook 2007's color categories offer 25 colors and you can use the same
colors with different categories.

Ok thanks ! So I have to move on to the 2007 version ! Will my boss
aggree ?!?!

Would you know if it is possible to have a rule moving the sent item
to a folder without creating a copy?!

THANKS Again !

no, sent rules create copies. The 'proper' way to do it is to not save sent
items and use rules to save them instead. This can be problematic if outlook
can't write to the sent folder (such as with an imap acct) so nothing is
saved.

Alternately you can create on arrival rules and use run it now on the sent
folder - this works pretty good if you don't need them moved instantly and
can do it like once a week.
