Recycle Bin

I am running WIn 2000 SP4.

When I open My Computer, then the Recycle Bin, the files
refresh every 8 to 10 seconds. I have 3,000 plus files
in the Recycle Bin that I want to remove, but I can't
because everytime I attempt to select them to delete, the
Recycle Bin refreshes and the selected files are not
selected.

I am looking for a way to prevent or increase this
refresh period.

I can't answer your question on refreshing. However, couldn't you just
right-click the recycle bin and say "empty the recycle bin"?

Or you can run a logoff script to empty you bin on exit. I have one if you want.
