Recycle Bin

When I delete something from my computer, it asks me if I want delete it or
not and if I click yes, it will delete it automatically, skipping over going
into the Recycle Bin first. Does anyone know how to fix this?

On the desktop, right click Recycle Bin | Properties |
Uncheck: Do not move files to the Recycle Bin |
Check: Display delete confirmation dialog
Apply | OK

Hi Wes,
No this does not work because these were the settings to begin with. It was
already set to the way you said. That is why I am having problems. Is there
something else?

Norton Protected Recycle Bin?

Right click the Recycle Bin | Properties | Norton Protection tab

I checked out both sites and read everthing that concerned the recycle bin,
but it doesn't seem to work.

Do you have XP Pro?

If XP Pro you can use Group Edit...

Start | Run | Type: gpedit.msc | OK |

Navigate to >>>

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Windows
Explorer\
Do not move deleted files to the recycled bin
Set to Not configured.

No, I do not have XP Pro, I have the normal Windows XP. Could my problem be
occuring due to registry problems? If so, how can I fix this?
