Recycle Bin Refresh Problem..

So I did the same thing a lot of other people did and deleted my recycle bin
when I first got my laptop and Vista...but for my trash can to show that it's
empty I have to right click on the desktop and click refresh even if I empty
it..so how can I fix it so if I empty my bin it will not show it's full as
soon as I delete the items?
