Recycle Bin problem.

Has anyone seen this?

Windows Vista RC1 Build 5728

When I delete a file (move it to the Recycle Bin) then open the Recycle Bin
the file(s) don't show up.

If the Recycle Bin is open when I move the file(s) they will appear in the
Bin, but if it's closed, no go, no files listed, but, if I right click on
any folder or the desktop and choose "Undo Delete" the file(s) will return.

Also, it constatly shows that there are files in the bin (when choosing to
empty and the icon is showing the stuffed icon), even after emptying. Empty
the bin then click empty the bin again and it still says there are x number
of files in the bin, even though it's actually empty (as far as I can tell).

I don't want to file a report until I know others have seen this and it's
not just a one time thing on my system.

D'oh!

I really should remember the basics these days . . .

chkdsk /f solved everything, there were some damaged files located in the
recycler folder.

I'd have canceled the post, but for some reason it won't allow it, anyway,
anyone else that runs into this, just run chkdsk. :)

Mickey,

Good going, dude. I love it when I fix my own problems. And I think your
post may help others so even if no one else responds, if others read your
post you may help them out. Good on ya, son.

There are around 60 posts regarding SATA drive controllers, Lang.
Apparently there are not that many who are reading old posts...

Nothing to do with Mickey's post, just an observation that the majority of
new posts in the newsgroup are very similar to old posts in the newsgroup as
a direct result of posters not doing one iota of searching before asking a
question that has been asked (and answered) multiple times.
