recycle bin not working

Items deleted from the boot drive never show up in the recycle bin. They're
immediately gone. Is there a way to change this?

Right click on Icon/Properties

Uncheck "Do not move files to the Recycle Bin".

I did that a long time ago, and it doesn't help.

How did you delete the files?

Did you get any response from the system?

Have you done all your updates?

An interesting site, but nothing there to resolve this problem - only a way
to create it. IN my case, files deleted from other drives all work as
expected, but files deleted from the boot drive are immediately gone. It's
always been this way on the system.

every way possible

no

Have you done all your updates?

yes

This is only true for files deleted from the boot drive. One bit of
information that may be important is that this is a dual boot machine and
the other system (NT) is on another physical drive.

Yes. I did that today for all of my drives, and that did the trick. Thanks
to everyone for their help.
