Trying to get a HP Laptop running XP Home booting again
after several severe errors, got everything up and running
except for the Recycle Bin. I'm now getting an error when
I try to run Disk Cleanup, half way through it gives me
the error. I've already deleted the Recycle Bin and tried
to recreate it, but I'm still getting the error. Any help
would be appreciated. Let me know if you need any more
information.

I used a program called ERD Commander 2002. You can also
delete it by disabling the recycle bin from collecting
deleted files before deleting it.

Hi

ERD Commander is not a good program - it has no 'undo' options. You will have to perform a 'Repair' install of XP to get the Recycle Bin back - which of course will mean re-installing all Windows Updates.

Thank you very much, that was my next solution, I just
wanted to know of another fix that I could try before I
went down that road. I do appreciate your time...
