Recycle Bin icon on my desktop

My icon for the recycle bin has disappeared off of my desktop, how do I get
it back on my desktop?
 
right click on your Desktop -> Personalize

on the left side of that window, under Tasks, click "Change desktop icons"

you can put many icons on the Desktop (or remove them)

Right click the desktop and select Personalize from the menu. On the left of
the dialog, select the Desktop Icons option. Place a check mark in the icons
you want.
