Hi,
From time to time I receive the message:
"The recycle bin is corrupted on drive K: Would you like to empty the
contents of this bin?"
When looking at the properties dialogue box of the Recycle Bin, I notice
that the tab for Drive K: is missing, an therefore. I cannot configure it.
Drive K: is on an external hard drive. (Maxtor DV5000 Firewire.) I have my
Recycle Bins individually configured. Some drives don't use the Recycle
Bin, while some do.
I have just read the Knowledge Base article referring to this error and am
told that it was fixed in SP1. I have had SP1 installed since it came out
and this error has only just recently occurred - I noticed it first a few
weeks ago, shortly after I had first connected up my External Hard drive. Is
there anyway I can get my Recycle bin back on Drive K:? I know the easiest
way would be to reformat the K: Drive, but it has 22Gb of data on it and
would take me hours to restore it. If there is a way I can possibly avoid
doing this, I'd be grateful to hear it.
Thanks!
