Quit looking at your hidden files. They're hidden for a reason.

lol, I'm glad to see you haven't given up on the idiotic responses from
the resident slobs and dummies that have infested this group lately.

Recycler IS the Recycle Bin, but only the part that pertains to the
currently logged on user should there be more than one user. Here's a
link you may find useful about it, and the System Volume Information
folder in XP and Vista:
http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives...em-volume-information-folder-in-xp-and-vista/

And here's the relevent part on the Recycler:
When you delete a file in Windows NT Explorer or My Computer, the file
is stored in the Recycle Bin. The file remains in the Recycle Bin until
you empty the Recycle Bin or restore the file. The Recycler folder is
used only on NTFS partitions.

The Recycler folder contains a Recycle Bin for each user that logs on
to the computer, sorted by their security identifier (SID). It is safe
to delete files inside the Recycler folder. Even if you delete the
Recycler folder, it will be re-created once you delete a file.

This article was written pre-SP2, so I do NOT recommend ever trying to
delete recycler on the disk; it's a system file and would take some
hoop-jumping before you could, anyway. Just empty the Recycle Bin in
the usual way.

It's not 100% accurate, but it's close enough.

HTH,

Twayne`
