Recurring appointments and outlookaddin.dll

I am using Windows Vista and Outlook 2007. I noticed that a lot of
appointments were automatically created as recurring appointments. I found
this solution online http://slipstick.com/problems/recurringmeetings.htm so I
uninstalled the outlookaddin.dll file. But, now I can't open Outlook at all!
Help! I downloaded a copy of the file, but am nervous to install it, and am
not sure where on my computer it should go. Thanks.
