Outlook 2008 unwanted recurring appointments

Hello,

I am using Outlook 2008 and Vista.

When I get sent via email an Outlook appointment from my friend using
Outlook 2007 I add it to my calender but it gets entered on my calender as an
appointment recurring every week. Which is not how they sent it. I have
tested it. They are sending simply a one off appointment.

When I enter my own appointments they are fine.

Previously when I ran Outlook 2007 it was fine. But I am now on a different
computer running Outlook 2008.

A Dell laptop computer. I read about some add-in that can affect my calender
but I can't seem to remove the add-in as it is "connected in registry." But I
am not sure if that is even the problem.

Any ideas thanks?

Good trick, when Outlook 2007 is the most recent version.

Go into Control Panel's Uninstall Program and look for Outlookaddinsetup.
Uninstall it.
