Problem with outlookaddin.dll

I have just reloaded office 2003 on vista - ran fine before but that is
another story. In the old system I copied the pst file to dvd.
Then formatted teh disk and reloaded office and copied in the pst file. Now
when I start outlook is says it has stopped working and due to a serious
error with outlookaddin.dll it has been disabled.

What could be the problem?
 
The possibilities are endless and you have provided too little information
for any of us to guess a solution. At a minimum you would need to define:
1. What "copied in the pst file" might actually mean. Sounds to me as if you
failed to transfer your data file correctly. But we have no idea what you
did.
2. What add-ins you are running.

Try deleting the (hidden) file %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Outlook\extend.dat.
