Duplicate recurring appointments gone wild

Some recurring appointments I have in Outlook have been duplicated...and
duplicated and duplicated. On given days there must be hundreds, if not
thousands of copies of the same appointment. I tried to delete them one by
one but there must be so many it did not make a difference. How can I
delete, for instance, all the appointments on a given day. Or is ther a
better way?

Select a view that shows appointments as a list, then you can shift +click
to highlight a block of entries then delete in one go. Or try our calendar
