Random Recurring Appntments

Is there any trick to setting up a recurring appointment, whose schedule is
more random than weekly or mothnly. If I have a meeting that is going to be
on Nov 12,20,24. Which would be a Wed, Thurs, and Mon. How could I set up the
recurring appointment for something like this?

Thanks,

Dear Customer,

Thank you for posting.

From your post, I understand you would like to create a recurrence meeting
with more random days. If I'm off base, please feel free to let me know.

Base on the research, we are not able to create a recurrence meeting with
random days.

Nevertheless, you are able to create a recurrence meeting every Monday.
Then, update some occurrences of the recurrence meeting to another day.

You can update separate occurrence of recurrence meeting by using following
method:

1. Open Calendar Folder
2. Double click an occurrence of the recurrence meeting which you would
like to update
3. Select "Open this occurrence"
4. Change time/location according to your requirement and send the update

Sincerely,
Mike Shen

I'm new to Outlook (used Lotus Notes before and am using Outlook 2007 now)
and was VERY disappointed to learn that I could not schedule recurring
meetings on specific or customizable dates. Surely SJMP and I are not the
only two people in the world to expect such a feature from Outlook???

I have tried to create recurring meetings and had EVERY meeting within the
meeting request DECLINED because the particular Room I was reserving was
already booked on one (or maybe several) date(s) several weeks/months in the
future. It is very annoying having to either remove the unavailable days and
make a separate meeting just for them, or open each one individually and edit
it. This solution just seems to mess up my calendar all around - especially
if someone wants to be added to the recurring meeting later on, or the
meeting gets cancelled altogether - then I need to find every occurence of it
and change or delete it. Any easy solutions to this?

I think Microsoft could have designed this part a little better... :-(

I totally agree with Pippercat. Our Department switched from GroupWise to
Outlook and we were told that Outlook is sooooo much better. Well in
GroupWise, I could click on a calendar and set up appointments on random
days. Outlook does not have that capability. Maybe Outlook should review
GroupWise calendaring to see how it is done.
