Recovery disks

I have a Sony Vaio desktop ... model PCV RS322...

I was doing a system recovery ... and after placing the start up recovery
disk and restarting the computer ... I get this message >>> Cannot determine
partition settings. The utility exits and your computer is restarted.

So basically its not allowing me to do system recovery ... can someone
please tell me whats going on and help me ?

Could be everything from bunk repair media to a hosed drive or even simply a
thrashed MBR or partition table, either way you're best course of action is
to consult with Sony for this one because it's their repair media.
