recovery disk

is there any way i can recover my daughters pc without having the asr
recovery disk? ive tried using the xp pro disk to boot the computer but it
just prompts me for the recovery disk, which i have never made. can anyone
help me?

Press Esc key and it will continue to repair.

Yes, the startup/repair/recovery/install program is anicent - 1999.
May as well be using a hammer and chisel. :)
