My pc is running real slow, there is spyware and adware, and basically it is
really cracking me up. Someone suggested that i back up all my files and
restore it to the manufacturers settings. Im not technically minded atall,
but backed up all files onto discs. I am running XP and was told to use the
recovery disc. When i put the disc in it opens up a window saying that it
cant read it. I really dont know wot to do next. Any help please???

Why don't you try to rid yourself of the spyware first?
All of these are free to use and do a great job.
