I HAVE BEING TRYING TO CREATE A SET OF RECOVERY DISC FOR MY NOTEBOOK PC HP
PAVILION 6245US.
I HAVE FOLLOWED THE PROCESS ..START > ALL PROGRAMS > RECOVERY MANAGER >
ADVANCED OPTIONS >RECOVERY DISC CREATION.
THE PROCESS BEGINS WHEREBY THE FILES ARE "READ", "COPIED" AND THEN "VERIFIED"
HOWEVER AT THE FINAL STAGE OF VERIFICATION I AM GETTING THE MESSAGE (DIALOG
BOX)"ERROR DETECTED DURING DISC VERIFICATION. A NEW DISC NEEDS TO BE CREATED".
I HAVE REPEATED THE PROCESS USING 11 CD'S / 4 DVD'S, YET THE FINAL SET OF
RECOVERY DISC CANNOT BE FINALIZE AS I KEEP THE SAME MESSAGE IN THE
VERIFICATION PROCESS.
COULD YOU PLEASE ASSIST?
THANKS

Hello,

Possiblities:
1) You may have got a bad batch of CD-Rs - try another brand
2) Your CD writer is not writing properly, try another writer
3) Your RAM may be bad, try running a memory test program such as MemTest86+
4) HP software has a verification bug (very unlikely)

When burning a disc, do not use/move the laptop to minimize errors as the
disc is spinning at high speeds as such small movements can cause errors.

If it is still not resolved, try calling HP and asking for their advice.

Hi and pleasant day to all.

Just to let you know that I got the Recovery Disc from HP and I was able to
Reboot the Laptop. I still have to install programs and complete Updates but,
hopefully all should be okay.

Thanks again for all the advise and assistance.
