recovery console

I have XP and I am rebooting my computer and trying to
access the Recovery Console from the CD bootup. It asks
for an Administrator password. I upgraded from win98 and
never remember having a password and was never asked to
enter one when originally upgrading. What do I put in this
section and how do i get past this and recover XP to
backup files long enough to do a complete reinstallation
of XP?

Try no password. Just hit enter. If that doesn't work, you've set a
password somewhere along the line. This link will help you reset it.
