Recovery Console won't run

I installed recovery console and tried it out. It asks for the
administrator password but I don't think I set up one. The only
account is user1 which has administrative authority and has no
password. But because I don't have a password to enter when recovery
console runs, it will not actually run. How can I get passed this
problem and run recovery console? Thanks

you could try starting your comp in safe mode login as administrater than
create a password then try the recovery console?

You may be a victim of sysprep, see:
