Recovering pictures

Hi
I was moving my whole my documents folder to a different user's (empty)
documents folder, when a message came up about overwriting the my pictures
folder I clicked yes to all.
All the documents copied over but the pictures did not, they were not in the
original location or in the destination folder. I found them in "user\local
settings\temp\" but are dramatically smaller and have .jpd file associated
with them (each pic was/is a jpg).
Is there anyway I can recover my pictures to their original size?

Thanks
Bob

Are the original files still on the original PC? If so, copy FROM My
Pictures\*.* and place in the My Pictures folder of you friend's PC (or any
other place).

You should consider a copy, then delete rather than take a chance on
losing so many files during a file transfer.

Take one of the jpd files and change its extension to jpg. Does it then
look as it should? If so, you can use these commands from a DOS prompt:

CD C:\user\local settings\temp\ (or whatever the complete path)

REN *.jpd *.jpg

That should change all the files to the correct extension. You could
copy all files to another folder first so you'll have the original jpd's
first, to assure they're not lost further..
