Shared Folders

I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct newsgroup but here goes.

Just created individual user accounts on my PC. The "My Pictures" folder is
in the Shared Folders so that all users can access those pictures.

"My Pictures" is no longer in "My Documents."

Questions:

1 - Is it okay to have "My Pictures" in Shared Folders?

2 - If I try to move "My Pictures" in Windows Explorer, I'm told it's a
system folder and cannot be moved. However, I can copy that folder to "My
Documents."

3 - If I copy the folder back to "My Documents," is it okay to delete it
from the Shared Folders? May want to do this if I make all accounts
administrator and allow files to be viewed in any account.

FYI, the only reason I created individual user accounts is because I
upgraded from MSN Premium to Windows Live and all of our email accounts now
show up in Windows Live. The only way to have each user view their email
privately is by creating the individual user accounts.

I've never had a home PC set up this way before so would appreciate feedback
and suggestions about use of the shared folders. I spent hours searching
online for information about "My Pictures" and was unable to locate any
specific to my questions.

Thanks.

You can drag your personal folders around if you want to, but the best way
to share or not share folders is with the Rightclick option for sharing. If
you don't want your Pictures folder available for sharing, you can elect to
'make this folder private' and it won't show in the shared documents for
other users.

I copied my pictures back into My Documents. Can I now delete it from the
shared folder?

Really makes no difference where the other users access this folder from.
I'm just so used to having it in My Documents and really don't know how I
got it into Shared in the first place - may have moved it and wasn't paying
attention.

Thanks again,
