recovering permanently deleted messages

I accidently deleted a sub-folder in my deleted folder. Is there any way to
retrieve the messages that were contained in that sub-folder? I looked on
the "help" section on Outlook but could not findt the "Recover deleted
message" on the Tools.

Hi Sue

Recover deleted items only applied to MS exchange server. If you are using
PST file, you may use some 3rd party undelete program.

This article is very poorly written. I think it also only applies to
Exchange (5.5) since it references the retention time on the server.


there's a method here that might from a local PST it involves corrupting the
PST and might be risky

(backup needed).
