Recovering Partition

I borrowed the computer of a friend, because he had not used it for some
time. During my use, the computer system files got corrupted. Long story
short, I accidently deleted a partition (Partition 2 - Local Disk D: to be
exact). The contents of the disk is irrelevant. But I am trying to restore
everything back to the way it was, therefore I would have to have the same
volume size for partition 2.

Is there a way I can restore and/or find out what the delete partition size
for Local Disk D: was prior to deletion?

Mike

Run diskmgmt.msc.

I think you misunderstood the question. The partition has been deleted.
Before, when I opened My Computer, there were two disks, Local Disk C: and
Local Disk D:. Now D is gone. Deleted. But this partition was empty anyway,
but that's not the point.

But now I would like to restore things as they were. With two partitions,
Local Disk C: and Local Disk D: . In order to make every back the way it was,
I need to know what size was the deleted partition. Now that its gone I can't
find out.

Is there a way to find out about the volume size of a disk partition.( i.e.
Local Disk D: size) Whatever it was before. I want to make it the same again.
It is important that I do this.

Mike

If the original size is so important then you have to use a program
that recovers partitions, e.g. RecoveryExpert from Acronis.
