I'm more than willing to be corrected, but as far as I know deleted mail is
permanently deleted and never goes into the recycle bin in the first place.
Where it goes, I've no idea, but this has been the case with Windows
previously, and is not new in Vista. This is why you get the second warning
asking if you want to delete the items permanently.
Deleted Windows Mail messages do not go to Vista's Recycle Bin, they go
to Windows Mail's "Deleted Items" folder. If you've since emptied that
folder, the messages are gone forever.
