Recovering lost document

A coworker added text to my outline and apparently saved it in a file I can't
access. Sometimes a list of documents comes up under a file labeled
something like "OTLF" but I don't know how to access this file. Any ideas
 
Why don't you ask that coworker to open the file again and save it in a
location you can access?
