We are using cached mode across a WAN, and the users have large mailboxes.
When a computer fails and we need to create the cached mode profile on
another computer, the syncronisation process takes forever. I was hoping that
I could use the Mailbox Merge tool to extract data from mailboxes on the
Microsoft Exchange Server into PST files (this can be scripted). These could
then be burnt to a CDR and sent to the WAN users. My question is, can we
create a cached mode profile and stop the initial syncronisation process,
while we import the PST file? Then turn on the cached mode and have it sync
only the changes since the last PST file was created? I have read the Seed
article from Microsoft http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=872930 but this is
to painful. Thanks for your help.
