RECOVERING FILES--HELP ME!!!

HELP!
I'm working on 4 Excel 2007 wkshts and the program began a recovery process.
(I don't know why. I didn't know there was anything that needed to be
recovered.) I was prompted to save the recovered file and attempted to do so
but was unsuccessful. Now the screen is frozen and there is nothing I can do
to get ANYTHING to happen.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
In excel 2007 if you close the application when opening again it will bring
up all the files you were working on
