my email program is slow loading, because my email has about 20 folders and
subfolders of a main folder called recovered messages.
there are zero files in any of these folders/sub folders.
i can take the time to delete them all, but they alwase come back every
time i start my email program?
so how can i finally delete this mess of empty folders??

Try running the various repair functions in the WMUtil program:
http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil
If no improvement:
It sounds like your Windows Mail message store structure is corrupted.
There is a very laborious way of resetting Windows Mail. Follow this
procedure:
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/62560-windows-mail-problems.html
Scroll down to the section "PROBLEM TWO: How to Backup and Reset
Windows Mail ".

Frankly, you'd be much better off simply upgrading to Windows Live Mail:

Go to Tools>options>advanced>maintenance>message store.

Select and copy the message store location.

Cancel your way out of there.

Select the Recovered Message folders and delete them, then empty the deleted
items folder.

Close WM !!!!

Go to Control Panel>classic view (top left)>folder options>view tab>enable
Show hidden Files and Folders>apply/ok your way out.

Now go to the Start Button>Run, and paste the message store location, that
you copied earlier, to the run line>OK

This will open Windows Explorer to your message store, find and delete all
of
the Recovered Message folders.

Close Windows Explorer.

Do not Open WM yet !!!!!

Try using this utility to repair and compact the mail store, with WM closed

WMUtil http://www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/

Please read the instructions.

Hopefully, that should sort you out for now.
