We have deployed Windows XP Professional on our campus. A
couple of our clients have been able to make their taskbar
disappear within their profiles. If you log onto the
machine as a different user you have no problem seeing and
using the taskbar.

The taskbar is not hiding below the screen and simply
needs to be pulled up, nor is the taskbar set on auto hide.

I have not been able to find any information on recovering
the "whole" taskbar from the web.

Thank you for your help,
Jennifer

Go to the following link, scroll to line 117-Restore Taskbar and Start Menu,
click the link, download the file and double click the file to implement.

If that fails to resolve it, try using System Restore to take the system
back to a time prior to when the taskbar was lost, Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore.
