Recover lost Word documents

I need to recover about five lost Word document that were initially saved on
CD-Rom but I am now unable to locate these documents.
There is about two years work involved, please help.
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Word.

This one's for questions about Access, the database product that's part of
Office Professional.
