recover files from deleted admin account

Hi all,

I just deleted an administrator (adminXXXX) account, which held a great
deal of important files in its
\documents and settings\adminXXXX\documents folder.

I assumed for some reason that I would still be able to access that folder
once the adminXXXX account was deleted seeing that I had administrator
priviledges and that none of the files in that folder were encrypted.

For some reason I cannot get back into that folder, I get an access denied
error.

Is there anything I can do to recover those files?

Thanks a million for any help

Take ownership of the folder in order to get past the
NTFS permissions issue.
The EFS encrypted files are now nearly lost however.
If they are sufficiently important there are some long
roads to possible recovery of them.
