Hello,

I hope some one can help me please ASAP.

Yesterday evening I re-installed a internet security suite program -
when I opened Microsoft Outlook 2002 (running on a WIN XP Home)
computer, it told me to choose a profile. So I choose the one it gave
me which was a P1___.tmp file. Then when I closed Outlook and re-opened
it, some how all my messages dissapeared and I can not for the life of
me find this P1___.tmp profile.

These emails have not been backed up; so I don't know if we can some
how recover them as a .pst file.

I cannot find my emails any where and have looked at previous .pst
files which have been backed up; but they are not the right ones. How
do I recover a .tmp file? How do I recover a Microsoft Outlook
profile?

It is imperative I get these email messages back, they are very
important ones!

Does anyone have any ideas? Please reply to this message; or via email
to (e-mail address removed)
Thank you in advance.

I should also mention, that I've tried the Detect and Repair when I
opened Microsoft Outlook a 2nd time, but nothing happens. My messages
have still dissapeared...

How do I recover or restore them?

One other thing I should also mention: I am also trying to recover all
my tasks, calendar and address book as part of all my emails.
Somehow they all dissapeared; but my guess is they have to still be in
the computer because I didn't delete them. It brought up a new profile
of P1___.tmp, but then when I closed Outlook out, another profile was
chosen. (I couldn't get the tmp one again) and now everything is
gone...

ANy one can help please?

Do a wildcard search on you computer for *.pst. Every Outlook data file that
you have on your computer will show up. Note where they are and navigate
there from open data file in the toolbar. The pst file should also have all
the personal folders you are looking to recover.

Good luck
