Recover deleted user account

I accidentally deleted a user's account & files from WinXP SP2. Tried System
Recovery; no luck. The user is not listed in Documents & Settings. What can
a novice do? Please help...anybody!

Once deleted, a user's account is gone for good, unless you have a
backup image of your system partition, but in that case you wouldn't be
asking the question.
